Exhibited beside the houses that define French art de vivre.
Charles Darius is the Paris fashion and design maison founded in 2015 by Charles Darius Delaunay-Driquert — an object-maker whose work has been shown, published, and commissioned across four continents. What follows is the record.

Art de Vivre à la Française — 2024
Across 2024, the maison travelled with Business France's Art de Vivre à la Française programme — the French government's showcase of the country's finest craftsmanship houses — to three cities.
New Delhi. Selected as an exhibitor at Bikaner House (March 2024), presenting alongside Baccarat, Lalique, Christofle, Ligne Roset and Assouline. Official exhibitor listing →
Seoul. Presented to the South Korean luxury market, featured in the exhibition film “Art de Vivre à la Française Exhibition in Seoul 2024” →

Three cities, one year, one French-government circuit.

Cultural direction
The maison as art director
The great houses invite artists into fashion — LVMH with Takashi Murakami, Louis Vuitton with Yayoi Kusama. Charles Darius works in the opposite direction: the maison brings its art direction into culture itself.
As creative collaborator on Seed Incident — a transmedia universe spanning a video game, a comic book, and its own line of accessories and garments — the maison shapes the aesthetic of an entire world: its costume, its objects, its characters. Where a luxury house lends its name to a canvas, Charles Darius lends its eye to a universe.

Pedigree
The studio behind the maison
Charles Darius is not only a wardrobe — it is the product of a design studio. That industrial-design discipline is why the maison's objects carry an engineering rigour rare in fashion. A selection of recent design-led work:
- The House of Marley — industrial design & sustainable product (2012–2020)
- GOTHAM — brand strategy & spatial design (2024)
- NERO by DFC Industry — industrial design & product strategy (2023)
- Air Canada — premium onboard product collection (2014–2016)
From these disciplines come the maison's own objects — sculptural eyewear, leather goods, and the iPhone-charger jewellery piece.
Innovation & range
From the body to the table
METIS — a bionic prosthesis (2016). An advanced-design bionic prosthesis: proof that the maison's founder applies the same sculptural precision to human function as to fashion. Medical-grade design at the frontier of form and engineering.
STRATA — a new ceremony for Champagne. A B2B luxury packaging and serving system for Champagne, cognac, and premium spirits — reimagining the ritual around how the finest bottles are presented.
From a prosthesis to the Champagne table to the wardrobe — one designer's range.
The maison
Charles Darius — Paris
Founded in 2015, Charles Darius is a Paris maison of avant-garde essentials — a non-conformist contemporary wardrobe of sculptural silhouettes and refined minimalism. Materials are sourced primarily from France and Japan; craftsmanship moves between Paris and Osaka. The maison is a founding member of the Swiss GIVING BACK foundation.
“Our objective is not to follow trends, but to define frameworks that endure — building ideas, objects, and companies that resonate emotionally, function intelligently, and scale globally.”
